Shannon Sharpe rejects the idea that in order to present a fun podcast, he needs to be a Big-J journalist.
Earlier this week, Sharpe interviewed comedian Katt Williams for his widely watched Volume "Club Shay Shay" show. In the interview, Williams took aim at several competitors in the entertainment industry and even referred to the Hollywood "cabal" or "consortium" of decision-makers in general.
Sharpe clarified to critics who complained that he didn't cross-examine Williams with journalistic follow-up questions in his follow-up "Nightcap" podcast with Chad Johnson that he doesn't see it as his responsibility.
Williams vehemently refuted Cedric the Entertainer's accusation that he stole jokes from him in a prior episode of "Club Shay Shay."
"You make the decision. With whom do you agree? I have no say in the matter! I didn't claim to be a journalist! I never claimed to be a reporter! I perform for a living. '60 Minutes' is the place to go if you want to ask tough questions. "Timeframe." "48 Hours." Visit Lester Holt. Visit someone who is skilled in that.
Massive interaction was generated by Sharpe's interview with Williams, who also accused Kevin Hart of being planted on his Hollywood perch by executives without earning it via popular appeal.
It has received over 15 million views overall on YouTube, with over 100,000 live concurrent watchers at one time.
The show rose the No.1 podcast in the sports category — and No. 3 overall — on Apple podcasts.

"Hey, could I please have a Power episode?" Kai queried.

Kai has previously stated that he would want to make an appearance in Power.
In December, Cenat talked about his first experience with 50 at a Knicks game and said he wanted to make an appearance in the Starz series.

The Oklahoma City Thunder and Utah Jazz squared off on Thursday night (in Salt Lake City).
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 31 points, six rebounds, six assists, one steal, one block, and an 8/15 shooting percentage in 35 minutes of action. The Thunder won 134-129.
The All-Star guard's Instagram post after the game on Friday garnered over 245,000 likes in less than four hours.
The Thunder, who hold the second seed in the Western Conference, advanced to 28-13 after 41 games with the win.
They have a record of 12-8 in their 20 road games away from Oklahoma City and 6-4 in their previous 10 games.
With 40 games played, Gilgeous-Alexander has been outstanding this season, averaging 31.0 points, 5.7 rebounds, 6.3 assists, and 2.2 steals while shooting 32.4% from three-point range and 55.2% from the field.
According to two sources with knowledge of the matter, the Indiana Pacers are nearing completion on a trade for Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam, which would also involve the New Orleans Pelicans.
The Pacers acquired Kira Lewis from the Pelicans in exchange for Bruce Brown, Jordan Nwora, and three first-round selections from the Raptors. Along with cash considerations, New Orleans would also send a second-round selection to Indiana.According to two sources with knowledge of the matter, the Indiana Pacers are nearing completion on a trade for Toronto Raptors forward Pascal Siakam, which would also involve the New Orleans Pelicans.
Given that Siakam may become a free agency after the season, the Pacers took a chance. According to ESPN front-office expert Bobby Marks, he may wait until after the season to sign a five-year contract worth up to $247 million with the Pacers instead of signing a two-year extension with Indiana before June 30.
Nevertheless, it's admirable that the Pacers hit a home run. A team in a small-to mid-market may need to take a chance sometimes in order to achieve their goals.
Coach Rick Carlisle of the Pacers will be able to use his creativity on offense when Tyrese Haliburton and Siakam are on the field. The Pacers didn't lose much offensively in the deal, and they still boast the best scoring unit in the NBA (121.6 points per 100 possessions). Siakam and Haliburton ought to combine for an excellent two-man tandem that will also assist teammates in getting better looks.

Tiger Woods broke one of the most recognizable commercial partnerships in professional sports history on Monday when he announced the end of his 27-year association with Nike.
Ever since turning professional in August 1996, Woods has worn Nike swooshes from head to toe. 15 major tournament wins, 82 PGA Tour triumphs, and several comebacks from injuries and personal disappointments were all part of the alliance.
For more than 25 years, Woods' go-to Sunday uniform of a black hat, black slacks, and a red Nike shirt has come to represent men's professional golf.
The 48-year-old Woods did not specify which clothing labels he intended to wear at upcoming occasions in his statement. Since his comeback to competition in February 2021 following injuries sustained in a vehicle accident outside of Los Angeles, he has been using FootJoy golf shoes.
In his statement, Woods appeared to suggest that he will participate in the Genesis, a tournament he sponsors and proceeds from to support his foundation, at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, a neighborhood of Los Angeles, on February 15–18.
Following a record-breaking playing career at Stanford, Woods turned pro and earned endorsement contracts with Nike and Titleist. According to reports, the multiyear contract with Nike was worth $40 million, making it the highest endorsement deal ever for a professional athlete at the time.
Throughout his playing career, Woods' deal with Nike was extended three times. In 2013, he agreed to a $200 million 10-year contract extension with the clothing business, according to The Oregonian. He played using Nike golf clubs and balls up until 2016, when the Oregon-based business discontinued its golf line. Since then, he has switched to Bridgestone balls and TaylorMade clubs.

Tuesday night's Louis Vuitton spring menswear presentation included Pharrell Williams as the host. The event featured crisp, highly adorned American West ensembles that lined the runway.
The presentation began with Native American drumming, as models strutted around in denim chaps and cowboy boots with silver tips, wide-brimmed cowboy hats, and silky western shirts with pointed collars. Suits were adorned with turquoise studs, and sequined coats had Louis Vuitton insignia glittering on them.
The largest fashion company in the world, owned by LVMH, has set up about 50 temporary storefronts throughout the globe to display the new products.
In June of last year, Williams and Jay-Z performed at a street party on the Pont Neuf in Paris, marking her huge debut. With sailor suits and Hawaiian designs, he traveled to Hong Kong in November for his second runway presentation, which took place on a waterfront promenade with a view of the city's skyline at night.
On January 25, LVMH will make public its annual financial results, which will include information on the industry leader's performance over the crucial Christmas season. Due to increased living expenses, consumers have been spending less on high-end items, which has decreased the demand for luxury clothing in recent months.

Having visited with members of the Atlanta Falcons twice already this week, Bill Belichick has had a busy week.
On January 8, the Falcons dismissed Arthur Smith following three seasons. Belichick, who concluded his second interview for the position on Friday, is the first applicant to have two interviews.
The 71-year-old, who parted company with the New England Patriots last week after 24 seasons with the team, 17 AFC East wins, and six Super Bowl victories, has not reportedly been interviewed again as he looks for a new opportunity.
One of those Super Bowl victories came at the cost of the Falcons, as Belichick's fifth championship as head coach came from the Patriots' 34-28 overtime victory over Atlanta in Super Bowl LI, after Atlanta had fallen down 28-3. At Super Bowl LIII in Atlanta, he defeated the Los Angeles Rams to win his final Super Bowl.
Belichick is second on the all-time victories chart (333) behind Shula's 347 and third on the regular-season wins list (302) after George Halas (318) and Don Shula (328). With 31 postseason victories, he now owns the NFL record for most wins.
Belichick is tied with Dan Reeves and Jeff Fisher for the most defeats by an NFL head coach with 165. He has also coached in the third-most games overall (467), behind Shula (490) and Halas (497). With a regular-season record of 302-165 and a playoff record of 31-13, he is eight victories ahead of second-place Andy Reid with 23.
Among coaches who have coached at least ten postseason games, his.705 winning % in the playoffs is sixth, while his.647 winning percentage is ranked 18th overall.
Off-White has revealed the release of an exclusive new drop, the Nike Terra Forma c/o Off-White, in honor of Virgil Abloh's ongoing heritage.
The famous Nike styles from the late '80s and early '90s served as inspiration for this collection, which adds a unique twist to the traditional hiking boot.
Abloh's creative genius is evident in the Nike Terra Forma, which boldly pushes the boundaries of reinvention while introducing unique elements that pay respect to previous designs. The shoes have an artistic flare that is evocative of Nike's past offerings but with a current twist thanks to splashy suede overlays and a cored-out tongue.
The new boot is available at Off-White stores, online and at Farfetch.com.

On Friday night, the Western Conference-leading Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the Houston Rockets 122-95 behind 24 points from Anthony Edwards and 22 from Karl-Anthony Towns.
Considering that he came into the game having averaged 36.3 points in his previous four games, Edwards had a somewhat quiet outing. Despite going 8 for 17 from the field in 32 minutes on Friday, he had scored at least 25 points in ten straight games prior. Towns contributed six assists and eight rebounds.
Houston was led by Jalen Green with 20 points, followed by Alperen Sengun with 19 and Jabari Smith Jr. with 16. On a homestand of seven games, the Rockets are 2-4.

In 37 minutes, Haliburton scored 26 points (11–22 FG, 1–7 3Pt, 3–3 FT), pulled down nine rebounds, dished out 11 assists, had one block, and had one steal in the Bulls' 122-113 victory yesterday.
With his effort on New Years day, Haliburton increased his record of double-doubles to seven. He has also scored 20 points or more in five consecutive games. With a league-best offensive rating of 122.3, the Pacers' All-Star point guard has been the team's main engine.
Haliburtons excellent play continues as the pacers look to capitalize on the momentum,

However, one thing is for sure. Jalen Williams is rising to stardom right in front of our eyes, and he deserves greater recognition. The Thunder's explosive start to the season has been greatly aided by his ascent, and he could be receiving All-Star consideration if it weren't for the media focus surrounding SGA and Holmgren.
In Oklahoma City's decisive victory over the Knicks on Thursday night, Jalen Williams scored a career-high 36 points on 13 of 17 shots and 5 of 5 from three-point range.
There were doubts about Williams' ability to maintain his extremely effective play after the 2022–2023 season. This season, he has been even more productive at a greater volume. He is averaging 18.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 42% from 3-point range on 52.2% of his shots from the field this season. In addition, he has an 87.4% free throw percentage.
Overall, OKC has a legit #2 option next to SGA with Jalen Williams.

"Ferrari" was billed as a $90 million arthouse picture a month ago. That's kind of true. Neon released "Ferrari" in over 2300 theaters on Christmas Day, so it's not like it's not playing widely enough either; the problem is that no one went to watch it. "Ferrari" has only brought in $6.8 million domestically in four days.
As mentioned, "Ferrari" cost $90 million to produce; it will, regrettably, probably lose a lot of money and not be able to recoup its investment. In addition to potentially losing money on the $15 million deal, Neon purchased the movie in July.
Since Mann is still slated to make "Heat 2," which may or may not be an IP given how well-liked the first movie was on home video over the years, none of this really matters. Warner Bros. won't even hesitate to approve the follow-up.
Mann has one more fantastic movie in him, and guess what? "Ferrari" toy with being amazing. I may be in the minority here, but I thought it was very good. Mann masterfully achieved the performances, framing, setting, and mood that he created. The racing sequences are among the greatest I've ever seen as well.

During a scheduled hoops game last Thursday night, Justin Bieber repeatedly demonstrated his serious basketball skills by dribbling past opponents and making baskets.
The "Ghost" singer visited The Surgeon's Los Angeles studio for the second time in a few weeks, this time playing basketball for Team Nahmias in the renowned league run by shoe customizers.
And it didn't take long for Biebs to demonstrate that his previous visit to the location wasn't a fluke—he scored goals with ease all night long, consistently blowing past opponents.
Nahmias lost against Surgeon 110-102, despite Bieber finishing the game with 13 points, three rebounds, one assist, and a ton of highlights. However, it wasn't enough to give his side the victory.
Bieber appeared to take the loss hard after the game, despite his pregame excitement.
What's good for him now? This season, Team Nahmias still has a few games left on its schedule.
In a huge deal with the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday night, the LA Clippers acquired 10-time All-Star guard James Harden, sources informed ESPN.
In exchange for Marcus Morris, Robert Covington, Nic Batum, KJ Martin, a 2028 unprotected first-round selection, two second-round picks, a 2029 pick swap, and an extra first-round pick from the Oklahoma City Thunder, the 76ers moved Harden, P.J. Tucker, and Filip Petrusev to the Clippers, sources told ESPN.
According to reports, the Clippers are handing Oklahoma City a 2027 first-round selection in exchange for the Thunder's protected 2026 first-round choice, which will allow the Thunder to trade it to the 76ers. According to insiders, the Clippers are also giving the Sixers second-round picks in 2024 and 2029 as part of the transaction.
Harden was acquired by the Clippers to collaborate with All-Star guard Russell Westbrook, who previously played with Harden for the Thunder and Houston Rockets, and forwards Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. After deliberating about a Harden deal since July, the Clippers and Sixers ultimately came to a late-night agreement on Monday.
Due to Harden's inability to return to the Sixers starting lineup, the Clippers and 76ers resumed negotiations over the weekend, according to sources.
Over the last ten years, Harden has become as one of the league's best players, taking home three scoring crowns and the 2018 league MVP honors. Last season, he has the most assists in the league.
The 24-year-old receiver's hamstring injury against the Kansas City Chiefs has kept him out of action for a few weeks.
Due to a number of injuries this season, including Jefferson's, the NFL decided to make artificial turf a main topic of discussion during owners' meetings.
While running a route against Chiefs cornerback Trent McDuffie at U.S. Bank Stadium, the three-time Pro Bowler stumbled on the artificial field.
As a result of his injury, Jefferson missed his first few games as a professional since being selected with the 22nd overall choice in the 2020 NFL Draft.
He was once again the center of the Vikings attack, with 36 catches, 571 yards, and three scores before suffering an injury this season.
Uzi Vert has recently had further exposure to the NFL world aside from his recent altercation with Jefferson.
'Just Wanna Rock' by Uzi Vert was the Philadelphia Eagles' unofficial anthem the previous season, and it served as the players' walkout music prior to the start of games.
The Eagles were previously utilizing Meek Mill's song "Dreams and Nightmares," which is also from Philadelphia.
It wasn't enough to help his team get the win, though ... as Nahmias fell to SRGN, 109-71.
JB has always been naturally athletic and it even looks like Bieber has stayed busy in the gym ... as his technique has never looked better.
Puka Nacua came within two yards of tying Ja'Marr Chase's record for the most yards through a player's first seven NFL games with 154 additional yards in Sunday's defeat to the Pittsburgh Steelers. After Chase's 754 yards in 2021, the L.A. Rams fifth-round rookie now has 752 yards in seven games, which is the second-most ever to start a career. Even though they lost, Cooper Kupp's comeback did not have a detrimental effect on Puka, as seen in Week 7:
Not at all.
Against the Steelers, Matthew Stafford targeted Puka twelve times; the rookie hauled in eight passes for 154 yards. He now trails only Chase's record-breaking pace in 2021 after surpassing both Anquan Boldwin (621 yards in 2003) and Odell Beckham Jr. (609 yards in 2014). During the first seven games of 1996, Terry Glenn was targeted 78 times, while Puka has already been targeted more than any other player in history (82 times through seven games).
Puka has now accumulated at least 140 yards in three of his professional games. That is unique. OBJ, Chase, and Justin Jefferson are the only three players in NFL history to have two 140-yard games in their first seven outings.
While Puka was available with the fifth and final choice in the draft, all of those players were first round selections.
To equal Billy Howton for the second-most 140+ yard games in a rookie season—four—Puka needs one more 140-yard performance. Howton played those four games in 1952; Bill Groman played five in 1960; and O.B. Johnson played five in 2014.
This season, Puka has ten games remaining.
Puka Nacua is just 248 yards away from becoming the 30th rookie in NFL history to achieve 1,000 yards with his current total of 752 yards. He is more than halfway to breaking Groman's record of 1,473 yards as an NFL rookie, which he accomplished in just 14 games. Two years ago, in 17 games, Chase had 1,455 yards.
Nacua, though, is even closer to becoming a legend among rookies selected outside of the first round.
Harlon Hill in 1954 and Marques Colston in 2006 are the only two players in NFL history to have 1,000 yards as rookies after being picked outside of the top 100. Colston was selected from Hofstra in the seventh round.
If Puka stays healthy, he will need fewer than 400 yards to break the record for receiving yards by a rookie selected outside of the top 100. That works out to less than 40 yards per game. So far, he's averaging over 100 yards per game, and Stafford continued to trust Puka in crucial situations even with Kupp's return (he had 29 yards on seven targets).
For Puka Nacua, nothing about "the moment" has been too significant.
On Sunday, running back Jahmyr Gibbs, who had missed the previous two games against the Detroit Lions due to a hamstring ailment, scored his first NFL touchdown.
Against the Baltimore Ravens, Gibbs received a second-and-1 pitchout from quarterback Jared Goff and raced left for a 21-yard touchdown run.
After rushing for 926 yards and seven touchdowns on 151 runs and catching 44 catches for 444 yards and three touchdowns in his lone season with Alabama in 2022, Gibbs was selected by the Lions with the 12th pick in the NFL Draft on April 27. Gibbs moved from Georgia Tech to play for the Crimson Tide.
Before getting injured, Gibbs ran for 179 yards on 39 rushes and caught 14 catches for 70 yards in Detroit's first four games of the season. With Montgomery out and Lions offense having a bright future, this is only just the beginning for Gibbs.
