Monster Energy congratulates Nyjah Huston on winning the Men's Skateboard Street event at the 2023 World Skateboarding Tour tournament in Rome. The 28-year-old from Laguna Beach, California, took first place and key ranking points in the official 'Road to Paris 2024' qualification event for the forthcoming summer Olympics.
The 2023 World Skateboarding Tour (WST) tournament drew skateboarders from all over the world to the Parco di Colle Oppio skatepark in Rome, which lies right near to the old Colosseum. The tournament, presented by World Skate, the official worldwide governing organization for Olympic skateboarding, awarded $200,000 in prize money and qualifying points for the 2016 Olympic Summer Games.
Huston was hoping to return to the winner's circle after recuperating from a knee ailment that had kept the Team USA skateboarder out for the duration of the 2022 season.
