Reflecting On Shaq & Kobe Duo

In an interview with Bleacher Report about how many championships he would have won if he had stayed with Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers, NBA star Shaquille O'Neal stated the pair would have probably won "five or six" crowns.

After completing a three-peat with Shaq and Kobe in 2000, 2001, and 2002, the Lakers returned to the NBA Finals in 2003-04 with Gary Payton and Karl Malone aboard. Despite their strong squad, they were defeated 4-1 by the Detroit Pistons.

Soon later, O'Neal was moved to the Heat, and the Lakers struggled to find their groove without him.

Given that Shaq won a title without Kobe and Kobe won two without Shaq, it's safe to argue the historically brilliant combo would have won "five or six" if they had continued together.

NBA fans will never know how many more rings the two would have won together if they had stayed together.
