NBA players are usually never afraid to make bold fashion statements in the tunnel. Between Russell Westbrook, Kyle Kuzma, James Harden and more have all made a brand for themselves in the world of fashion. Now, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is in that conversation. SGA's red boots are actually by MSCHF, a Brooklyn-based art collective that has previously created several controversial sneaker releases. The latest collection is said to be inspired by the character Astro Boy from the Japanese anime. Since wearing them before Lebrons record breaking night last week, where he surpassed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for collecting most points in NBA History, Shai seemed to have inspired others to rock this new look. Lil Wayne, and artist diplo have both been seen wearing them. Even MSCHF is having a second drop of this collection on February 16th due to demand being so high. The boots are selling retail for around $350 a pair and reselling for upwards of $2000. We'll certainly see more NBA players rock this Astro-Boy look, the question is will the fans wear them to arenas as well?
