After being made available earlier in the month in several other nations, Wonka made his debut in the United States on December 15. Wonka has made $244.4 million in revenue over its whole foreign run thus far.

The musical fantasy Wonka is a prelude to Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Timothée Chalamet plays a young Willy Wonka, who is followed in the movie as he tries to start a candy store in a corrupt city ruled by dishonest chocolatiers.
