Wemby Enjoys Yankees Game

Victor Wembanyama, the 7-foot-plus French athlete selected with the top choice in the NBA draft by San Antonio on Thursday, tossed out a wild ceremonial first pitch before the New York Yankees took on the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night. He wore a pinstriped jersey with "New York" across the chest rather than the typical interlocking "NY," and his No. 5 was autographed by Joe DiMaggio. He blasted the ball in the dirt, much outside of the plate, to the first-base side, while standing on the rubber.

The 19-year-old spent the previous season in the French division with Metropolitans 92. His NBA height is listed as 7-foot-4. He has stated that he is 7-3, while some websites list him as 7-foot-5.

In the hours leading up to his start, he tweeted, "Bout to throw my first pitch, wish me luck."

The pitch went viral as it wasn't the best throw by the phenom, it may have been because the ball was the size of his palm and was too small for him to throw.

Safe the safe, Wemby is a freak athlete is highly anticipated to be top 10 player of all time at the very least. We'll see if he can live up to these high expectations.
