Have a Day CJ

QB C.J. Stroud of the Houston Texans, with two timeouts remaining, received the ball with 46 seconds remaining in the team's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

With 75 yards remaining, Stroud had a single message for his offensive line.

"If you give me a little bit of time, I will make them pay," Stroud said.

With only six seconds remaining, six plays later, Stroud joyfully hit wide receiver Tank Dell for a winning, 15-yard touchdown throw, giving the Texans their closest lead in franchise history at 39-37.
With his performance on the last drive, Stroud passed Andrew Luck's record of 433 passing yards and finished with 470 yards, five touchdowns, and no interceptions. This set a rookie record for passing yards.

In other categories as well, Stroud's last effort put him in the record books. In the NFL's history, he became the sixth player to achieve 450 throwing yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions. He also made history by being the first rookie to throw for 400 yards, five touchdowns, and zero interceptions.

With the most passing yards in a game this season, Stroud wrapped up the day. And with four touchdowns and 395 yards under his belt, it seemed as though a defeat may have overshadowed Stroud's effort prior to the final drive.
With this victory, the Texans are now 4-4 ahead of an arduous road test against the Cincinnati Bengals.

However, the players for the Texans think they can win any game as long as they have Stroud.
