Some would have anticipated the fiery Kevin Garnett to lash out at the Boston Celtics for their dreadful performance in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference playoffs. However, instead of delivering a furious and emotional statement, Hall of Famer Garnett set a different tone.
While the Celtics fell short of expectations and failed to reach the NBA Finals, Garnett, whose number has been retired by the franchise, had the team's back despite Boston's sad season ending. "SHOUT TO MY C's," Garnett said in an Instagram story, according to Taylor Snow of Celtics.com. "EXCELLENT PLAYING YEAR? This is how it may be at times. Take a break and then go back to work!! You've got to adore it..."
Perhaps Garnett's motivational boost will be beneficial for green next year.
